From November 1st, through November 11th, we will once again engage the public witness that we call ‘The Witting Tree.’ Gathering each morning at 7:00am around the tree at the bottom of the church driveway, we participate in a silent and faith-filled observance, hanging dog tags on the tree in remembrance of the many veterans who take their lives each day. Our daily witness typically lasts 10-15 minutes. You are encouraged to participate any and each day as you are able.

Exciting news!!! A creation justice team is forming at St. Andrew’s. What is creation justice you ask? Creation justice is a faith-based concept that understands social justice and environmental justice as interconnected, rooted in the belief of creation, human and non-human, is a sacred gift from God. Our focus will be to discern ways we as a congregation can be environmentally conscious and honor God’s creation.

A Creation Justice Team will be forming as a result of the leadership retreat discussions. If you are interested and want to find out more, we will be holding a meeting at 6:30 on Oct. 14th at the church. For more information contact Karen Peterson.

The Neighbors in Need offering supports ministries of justice and compassion, with one-third of the offering given to the Council for American Indian Ministries and the remaining two-thirds supporting UCC justice ministries.

In 2025 the Neighbors in Need Offering supported 26 grant recipients across the UCC who were engaged in projects of direct service and advocacy.

Many of our churches collect the offering on part of World Communion Sunday, we at St. Andrew’s will be joining our siblings in Christ by collecting this offering on October 5th during our worship. Thank you for your support and generosity!
